1.94 Patch Notes


β1.94

- Long Draw 1 now spends a maximum of 6 stacks per attack.

- Better off alone now only triggers on Rank 2 / 3 Bonds.

- Intimidator 3 now places Fodder after KO rather than being a replacement effect.

- The challenge listed in each Attack Action and Charge has been removed, since challenge is no longer a mechanic.

- The Unity section of each of the example worlds have been rewritten to match the more recent rewrite to the category as a whole.

- Smaller Headers have been added to divide the information in the world explanations.

- All instances of “make an x roll” have been replaced with “roll x”.

- Martial Artist 1 & 2 have been buffed.

- DPS enemies (with the exception of Executioner) have had their x2 Tesnion damage scaling replaced with flat [Tension], many have also been given ways to deal non-attack damage or increase their attack damage more reliably.

- Wounds and health scaleing have been entirely reworked, Guts no long exists, base health is higher, Wounds KO when they hit 3, and Wounds refill all of a player’s Health. This also comes with a rework to almost evey Techneque, enemy, and universal mechanic that effects Wounds or Guts.

- Dim Mak has been reworked again and renamed to “Inquisitor” to make it’s gameplan less consistent every turn.

- Artist 3 has been changed to only work on the next attack to make it weaker and to prevent creating incredibly complex board states with every enemy branded with effects everyone must track.

- Runic Retrebution has been renamed to be Noun like the rest of the Techneques.

- Reflector now specifiees “damage from enemies” rather than from “sources other than yourself”.

- Egomaniac 1 & 3 have been reworked.

- New Wolf Boon: Brood.

- Clash has been reworked to be a bit less swingy and take less time at the table.

- Mundane has been reworked.

- Armor now specifices it goes after all other forms of damage reductions.

- “See” has been swapped with “Percive” on the Ability Table.

- Blade Master 1 now affects Skirmishes.

- Dancer 2 is now once per turn.

- All instances of “forgo the focus gained” have been replaced with “gain no focus”.

- Talisman Caster has been reworked into a source of Focus for Casters.

- Cryomancer 2 now empties to deal flat damage that can freeze, slow characters instead of being casts.

- Pushish now costs Focus instead of AP.

- All level 3s of the “Ascendent” Techniques have the phrase “If you’re Tier 3 or higher, you may Daze yourself and spend 2 Focus to transform as soon as you deploy regardless of Tension.” added to the end.

- “Lord’s Rite” has been renamed to “Law and Order” and slightly rewritten.

- The ability table has been expanded slightly.

- New Accursed Boon: The Voice.

- Analyst 1 no longer has a per scene limitation.

- Mind Breaker 1 now only works on your turn. Level 3 has been moved to level 2, and they’ve been given a new level 3.

- The “your story” character questions have all been reworked.

- Curpurse 3 has been given a new function meant to work well against boss enemies.

- Aerial Master 2 has been subsumed into 1, and it’s been given a new 2.

- Skirmisher 2 now only works after a Skirmish.

- Siren and Absolute Basterd 1 now costs 1 Focus to activate, but has no per-scene limit and gives you +3 starting Focus.

- Guardian angel 1 has been reworked.

- Void Heart 3 now works with Disappear and actually empties the clock when you blow everyone up.

- The “form a bond” outlook questions have been removed and replaced with expansions to the “your story” questions based on your Outlook.
