Update [Beta] 1.8


Big update time!

Two weeks between each update seems to have become the standard, and with the success of 1.7 when compared to 1.6 seems to show that it's been successful. This update will-again-be pretty major and greatly affect the balance of the game on all sides.

In any case, here's the actual changelog.

- New Modifier Enemy: Collateral.

- All Reactions are now Swift by default.

- Dodge and Block now cost one Focus to use.

- Dual Wielder 2 nerf.

- Precognizant 2 nerf.

- Knife Juggler 2 buff.

- Reassure and Divulge have been reworked due to the minimal effect of Stress reduction in most scenes.

- Slight braggart 1 alteration.

- The way Bonds are ranked up and how Bond Tags are applied have been reworked.

- New Support Enemy: Bannerman.

- Rifter has been changed to an Engine Enemy.

- The way health and guts scale has been reworked.

- The way wounds are dealt at 0 health has been changed to be more forgiving.

- Vanguard Defender 2 rework.

- Alchemist 1&2 buff.

- Modified Meister rework.

- Executioner Enemy buff.

- Drunkard 3 buff.

- Doppleganger buff.

- Speed Demon has had it’s damage halved.

- Dodge has been changed to a flat evasion increase to make it take less time to resolve.

- Drunkard 2 has been changed to have a less insane constant evasion.

- Martial Artist 2 has had it’s damage potential bumped down.

- Slime’s ace has been reworked to allow for more interaction.

- The advantage cap has been removed.

- Strengthened, Weakened, and Marked now effect final attack damage rather than advantage.

- Flagellant 2’s Advantage has been reduced.

- Acrobat 1 is now much more limited and limits the advantage gained to [Talent].

- Dim Mak 1 now lets you attack with Mind rather than giving Advantage.

- Autophage 2 and 3 have been changed with the new health mechanics.

- Wave Rider 2 now gives a flat damage bonus capped at [Spirit].

- Long draw 3 now gives a flat damage bonus.

- Ranger passive has been changed to function while immobilized.

- Evasion, and all sources of evasion, have been reworked.

- Block and dodge now cost 2 focus.

- Defensive reactions can now all be used after the attacker rolls without rerolling.

- Antagonist Points have been reworked to be tracked based on the Narrator rather than a character.

- The way enemy actions are taken has been changed to be more like players, with enemies now managing AP and having an action per round limit.

- Arial Ace 1 & 2 have been reworked to interact with more common mechanics found in other Techniques.

- New Terrain types have been added.

- Enemies have all been given a non-attack action to use.
